After Dinner Munchies
He paces from living room to kitchen every night after dinner constantly opening and closing the fridge door. When no dessert is available, he claims that he’s glad and water is good.
Water is not good and he’s not glad.
The man loves his desserts….he came to the right place.
Adapted: Clean eating recipes
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup white flour
3 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup honey mixed with 2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp milk (any milk)
1/2 cup melted chocolate macaroons
1 tsp cinnamon mixed with 1/4 cup white sugar
Mix all of you wet and stir well. Add dry and mix until there are no lumps.
Pour all the batter into a large Ziploc and cut off the corner end…or carefully spoon mixture into donut pan.
Bake at 375 F for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
Remove and let cool just a bit while you melt the chocolate in the microwave. Dip donuts into the chocolate and sprinkle with your favourite colours or place warm donuts into a Ziploc containing sugar and cinnamon and shake well.
Let your donuts cool on parchment paper because they stick to the cooling racks.
I’m clearly a kitchen ‘stuff’ junkie. I recently discovered Crate and Barrel.
I’m in love. Donut pans, butterfly pans, pretty plates and glass cutlery….I’m in love.
