Day 4 a new year!
It is officially 2011.
Funny, I don’t feel any different.
This morning was funny. It being Saturday I thought it would be to tempting for me to stick with the House cleaning.
It was….but in a weird way.
10 a.m. mug of green tea with 1/2 a lemon
11 a.m. Green shake with 1 grapefruit, 1 small carrot, 1 small piece of cucumber, 1 inch piece of fresh ginger, 4 strawberries, 3 pieces of honeydew melon, 6 large pieces of romaine lettuce, 1 tsp glutamine, 1 tsp Spirulina, 1 tbsp chia seeds. Blend until smooth
So you think Romaine lettuce is weird do you?
The lettuce is extremely low in calorie content and has high water volume. It is rich in vitamin A, vitamin K, folate, vitamin C, manganese, chromium, vitamin B1, vitamin B2 and the minerals like potassium, molybdenum, iron and phosphorus. Romaine is, thus, rich in so many vital elements for the body and is a highly nutritious food.
Steve is home today. He drank half of my shake.
This ended up confusing me. I was still hungry and finally gave into making a big cup of coffee and a breakfast cookie. I took 2 sips of the coffee and it was bitter and unappealing. Down the sink it went.
Instead I had a bowl of cooked broccoli, spinach, left over mushroom soup and roasted Kabocha squash. After a 5 mile walk in some serious heat, I had the same thing when I got home but because it was so hot, it was not working for me.
Today I was definitely all over the place with cravings but each time I tried to satisfy them, it didn’t work. I’m not sure if this is the detox effect or the heat. Tomorrow morning I will not be sharing my shake.
Go make your own.
