Tired and stuffed

Christmas day was 30 degrees.

I’m a Canadian.

These two facts do not go together.

So I rebelled.

I cooked a traditional Christmas dinner while the rest of Australia barbecued shrimp on the beach.

Really!  I’m not complaining.    It’s just that…’s all wrong.

Let us start with the 14 lb turkey.  It’s true that I could have used a knife instead of my teeth to rip apart the big guy…but where’s the fun it that?

Home-made cranberry sauce.  Non negotiable during turkey eating.

Mashed sweet potatoes.  Yeah baby!

Lots of steamed fresh veggies

Rosemary (from my garden) gouda biscuits to die for.

According to The teenagers, the gravy is the most important part.

Oh and dessert…..just you wait!

    Remember, I’m an American that follows that pesky Fahrenheit system.
    30 degrees is cold!
    What is that in Celsius?

    I do goose at Christmas. Stuffed w/saurkraut and green apples.Served with potatoes and pan drippings gravey. My favorite part is watching my Family enjoy the meal. ( A forkful of breastmeat and stuffing runs a close second!)
