I’m coming back!!

September 22, 2010

What a challenge life has been in the last 6 months.  First we sold our home after 6 months on the market and so began the process of moving.   First, off to Alberta for 5 months and then packing up once again and moving  to Sydney Australia.  Moving is hell, packing is hell and unpacking is, well… hell!   But I’m slowly starting to see the light again, that light being getting back into some sort of normalcy.    After almost 5 weeks we’re somewhat settled and most importantly, I’m beginning to cook again!   Not that dinner wasn’t on the table each night but I’ve begun to stock up on something other than just the bare essentials.  For instance, yesterday I cooked up a big pot of chili which may sound boring but it means that I finally got a big pot to cook with!     Since our belongings are still in transit and it could be up to 6 more weeks before I see my beloved Kitchenaid mixer or Vitamix or food processor or……yeah, you get the picture.   I’ve been supplied with 1 frying pan, 1 large and 1 small pot, 1 cookie pan, 1 large cake pan and 1 wooden spoon.    No bowls, no mixers, no nuthin!       I have some serious  brainstorming going on right now with all of the different and soon to be abundant new fruits and veggies going on so please bear with me because it’s about to get crazy in here!!

Not to rub it in but this is my view right now   🙂

Disappointment! That’s what I felt when I realized that “I’m coming back” meant cooking not moving back to Montreal. I’m happy you’re happy, but miss you!
